Midwest Music Foundation FREE Musicians' Health Care Clinic
Clinic Location: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (2301 Main, KCMO 64108)

-Free parking until 5 pm available in the BCBS lot accessible from 22nd and Grand
-Located across the street from the KC Streetcar Union Station stop
-Enter through Main Street entrance (lobby) or parking level entrance (take elevator to lobby), look for clinic signs and volunteers to direct you

The Midwest Music Foundation, along with the RockDocs, physicians from University of Kansas Medical Center, present a Free Musicians’ Health Care Clinic that will offer information, screenings, wellness programs, opportunities to discuss heath conditions/concerns, and arrange follow up visits.

Priority will be given to musicians/music industry personnel, but the clinic is open to the public. Appointments are recommended. Walk ins will be allowed as time permits.

Truman Medical Centers (www.trumed.org) representatives will be at the clinic. Truman Medical Centers is an academic health center providing accessible, state-of-the-art quality healthcare to our community regardless of the ability to pay. They will supply information on health coverage for uninsured patients.

Colon cancer screening kits will be provided to those that qualify and Get Your Rear in Gear - Kansas City will have an info table.

Midwest Music Foundation is providing custom earplugs to the first 20 qualified musicians/music industry personnel to apply. Impressions will be done by AudioGirl Consulting. (Earplug clinic is currently full, but sign up for our waiting list).

The Diagnostic Imaging Centers, P.A. Mobile Mammography Coach will be on site to provide mammograms from 12 pm to 4 pm. MMF will sponsor the cost for the first 16 musicians/music industry personnel to apply. If spots remain, it will be open to the public to self pay or pay with insurance.

Bill Rogers, Physical Therapist, Orthopedic and Geriatric Clinical Specialist will be available from 12 to 3 pm to consult and help triage musculoskeletal problems.

Karen Carmack of Wholehearted Wellness will be offering free chair massages and consultations from 2 to 4 pm.

There will also be representatives from Narcotics Anonymous (http://www.kansascityna.org/) on hand with information.
